Why McAfee Anti-Spam plugin fails to load with Thunderbird 60.0

You might notice that after you install Mozilla Thunderbird 60.x, spam email is identified as such by McAfee Anti-Spam, but you are no longer able to:
Mark email as spam, or
Mark email as not spam

The reason is that the McAfee Anti-Spam toolbar isn’t displayed in Thunderbird because of the Anti-Spam plugin fails to load. This issue has been seen within the public unleash of Mozilla spirit 60.x, and within the beta unleash of Thunderbird 63.0

NOTE- Despite the fact that the plugin fails to load and the toolbar isn’t displayed, spam emails and phishing emails, are still recognized and noticed with a score.

When you open the Thunderbird 60.x Add-ons Manager >by clicking Tools, Add-ons, you will see that the McAfee Anti-Spam spirit Extension is installed. You can also download and install it from the official site mcafee.com/activate. The problem may occur because of activation. You have McAfee activate then you need a mcafee activate 25 digit code for the activation of your product.

If you disable and re-enable the extension, it allows while not displaying any error messages.

NOTE– With the beta unleash of Thunderbird 63.0, the McAfee Anti-Spam spirit Extension isn’t gift within the Add-ons Manager. In case you face a problem that cannot be troubleshoot easily then visit mcafee.com/activate and seek help from there.
Cause

This issue happens because of a change in the way that extensions are supported in Thunderbird 60.0. This change means that many existing extensions might have reduced functionality when enabled in Thunderbird 60.0.

With McAfee Anti-Spam for Thunderbird, the plugin fails to load, which results in this reduced functionality:
You cannot mark email as spamor not spam
Items identified as spam are not moved to the Spam folder and stay in your inbox
Solution

This issue is resolved in version 16.17 of the Security Center, which changes the way that the McAfee Anti-Spam extension is implemented in Thunderbird. To learn how to check the version of your Security Center, see TS101107.

NOTES:
By default, your McAfee software updates automatically when new versions are released. As long as the default settings are enabled, you do not need to do anything for your software to update to version 16.17
As mentioned above, the core McAfee Anti-Spam technology continues to work in Thunderbird even though the toolbar is missing. So, you are still protected from spam or phishing emails, and you can still easily identify and avoid them when they appear in your inbox
Workaround

Move email marked as spam with a Thunderbird message filter.
When McAfee Anti-Spam finds an email that it thinks is spam, it identifies the email by putting [SPAM] in the subject line. These emails are normally moved to a Spam folder, but because the Anti-Spam plugin does not load properly in Thunderbird 60.x, the emails marked as [SPAM] remain in your inbox.

You can set up a Thunderbird message filter to manually move these emails to the Spam folder:
Open Thunderbird
Click the stacked menu (“hamburger”) icon on the right side
Click Message Filters, Message Filters
Click New, and give your filter a name. For example, Spam filter
Ensure that the following are selected under Apply filter when
Manually Run
Receiving new mail
Select the option ‘match’ all of the following
Select Subject, and contains, and type [SPAM] in the blank field
Under perform these actions, select Move Message to, click Choose Folder, and select the folder that you want to move the spam email to
Click on ‘OK’
